Ayodhya: Former Uttar Pradesh cadre IPS officer Amitabh Thakur has become the first applicant for the CEO post at the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, following the trust’s advertisement for the position after reports emerged of alleged embezzlement of donations, with the recruitment aimed at preventing any further irregularities within the Ram Temple Trust.
Thakur Known for Integrity and Anti-Corruption Stance
Amitabh Thakur is recognised as a sharp and honest officer, known for his integrity in service and his consistent stance against corruption, having repeatedly spoken out and taken action against wrongdoing, a stance that ultimately led to his removal from service; however, he never compromised on his principles.
Thakur Cites Administrative Experience, Calls Himself Most Suitable Candidate
Speaking to the media after submitting his application for the Ram Temple Trust post, Amitabh Thakur said he fulfils all the conditions mentioned in the advertisement and considers himself the most capable candidate for the position. He said he possesses extensive administrative experience and can effectively handle managerial responsibilities, adding that he is well equipped to manage all administrative, legal and financial functions of the trust.
