Ranchi, Jan 16:Former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren was once again tested Covid positive. Earlier, he was found infected on August 22, 2020 during the first wave of the pandemic. He was then admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram for treatment. He was discharged after about a month. Six other people living at his residence have also been found positive.
The sample was taken on January 14 at Shibu Soren’s residence in Morabadi, after which Soren was found positive. Although on Saturday he was at his residence. All patients have been kept in isolation while Soren is also under medication prescribed by the doctors.
Sunil Srivastava, the senior emergency secretary to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, was also found Covid positive. He is also in home isolation.
Earlier, 30 people including CM’s wife Kalpana Soren, both their children were found infected with the disease at the CM residence. During that time, more than 20 people were found infected from CM House. All were treated in home isolation.
