Four die as lorry overturns in Andhra’s West Godavari, 10 injured

West Godavari, Jan 14: Four people were killed while ten others were injured after a 14-tier lorry carrying fish overturned at Tadepalligudem in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district on Friday.

When the lorry collided, it was transporting fish from Duvvada to Narayanapuram, informed Tadepalligudem police station Ravi Kumar Veera.

The vehicle was carrying a total of 14 individuals. Police and residents raced to the scene and began rescue and relief efforts. The injured people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

There were a few persons trapped within the container, and efforts were made to securely rescue them.
