Daltonganj, July 6: Four private and 34 government schools of Palamu were shortlisted for Swachh Vidyalaya Puruskar for the year 2021-22 organised by the Jharkhand Education Project.

On Wednesday, certificates for high-profile cleanliness were distributed by the Palamu MP V D Ram, DDC Megha Bhardwaj and Vice Chairman of the Zila Parishad Alok Kumar Singh alias Tutu and others at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhayay Smiriti Bhavan.

One of the recipients of the 4 private schools, Holy Cross’s C Bhushan Sinha said his school bagged the certificate for high-profile maintenance of toilets in the school.

“Our student Ankit and English teacher Divya Bharti Dubey were the ones of us who joined me to receive this certificate for all-round cleanliness in the building and premises,” said Bhushan.

There is a strong indicator to bag certificate which starts from hand wash of the students to the management of the waste of the school. An overall look of the school testifying to the cleanliness is ascertained first by uploading it on the website and then by any functionary of the block level education section.
