Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has made an emotional appeal to the people of the state, urging them to support him in his ongoing battle for Jharkhand’s rightful dues. In a powerful message, Soren emphasized his commitment to fighting for the rights of the state’s citizens, vowing to continue the struggle till his last breath.
“Friends, I need your support in this fight for Jharkhand’s rights. I will fight until the end and will continue to demand what belongs to us,” Soren said in his statement, posted on social media.
“Why hasn’t the BJP demanded Jharkhand’s ₹1.36 lakh crore?”
Taking a swipe at the BJP, Soren questioned why the party has never demanded the ₹1.36 lakh crore that is owed to Jharkhand. “In the past three Lok Sabha elections, Jharkhand elected 12 out of 14 BJP MPs. Despite this, they never demanded our rightful share. Have you ever wondered why no BJP leader ever stood up for Jharkhand’s ₹1.36 lakh crore?” Soren asked.
“I was jailed over a bogus case”
The Chief Minister reflected on his time in jail, accusing his political opponents of trying to silence him. “They put me in jail over a bogus case because they wanted me to stop fighting for Jharkhand’s rights. But even if they put me behind bars again, I will not stop. I will keep fighting till my last breath,” he declared.
“The BJP is using all its might against us”
Soren further accused the BJP of using its influence, both at the Center and in the state, to undermine his efforts and to deprive Jharkhand of its dues. “They are doing everything they can to push me out of the way so they can take away Jharkhand’s rights. We aren’t asking for a special package like other states; we are only demanding what is rightfully ours,” he said.
“Stand with me, Jharkhand”
In his concluding message, Soren called on the people of Jharkhand to stand united in this fight. “I need the support of my brave Jharkhandis. If we don’t demand our rights today, other states will benefit from our money, and we will be left with nothing. Stand up for your rights today! The future of Jharkhand is in your hands,” he urged.
