Jamshedpur, June 1: GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL India has slashed CNG prices in Saraikela- Kharsawan and West Singhbhum districts by Rs 1.50/Kg from today (June 1) following the pricing mechanism in line with the GOI’s guideline to pass on new domestic gas pricing benefits to its customers.
The new CNG prices in the districts will be Rs 89.50 per kg from today. This is the second price reduction since April 2023, wherein the total Price has been reduced by Rs 7.50 per kg.
The usage of CNG as a preferred fuel will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint and improving the quality of life.
GAIL Gas operates around 10 CNG stations in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district at locations like Kandra, Kuchidih, Chowka, Shankaradih, Rangamati and neighbouring West Singhbhum.
The availability of CNG towards West Bengal and Odisha is also encouraging long-distance journeys on clean fuel CNG.
Furthermore, officials of GAIL Gas based in New Delhi said CNG shall be available from two more CNG stations at Adityapur Auto Cluster and Gamharia Automobiles, Adityapur.
The company looks forward to further strengthening the CNG network in Seraikela – Kharsawan and West Singhbhum districts in an attempt to encourage journeys between Jamshedpur, Kandra, Seraikela and Chaibasa.
