Daltonganj, Dec 2: Garhwa SP Anjani Kr Jha on Thursday held a meeting with the bankers of the district and took stock of the security status of the banks.
“Officials of 11 banks took part in this meeting. There were bankers from the Jharkhand Gramin banks as well as from ICICI, HDFC and other mainstream banks,” informed Deputy Superintendent of police (headquarter) Garhwa, Santosh Kumar.
During the meeting, bankers were asked to have high resolution CCTV cameras in the premises and at such locations outside from where roads, entry and exit of the banks are visible.
“Our SP laid stress on the security audit of the banks that includes the alarm system, fire fighting measures and status of the gate or gates in the banks,” DSP Santosh added.
As the customer service points are highly vulnerable, the SP asked the respective bankers to keep an eye on them too. He also asked the bankers to create general awareness about cyber fraud and digital cheat.
Sources said that as the last month of the year has begun, there is a general perception that dubious elements may be active for access to easy money.
