New Delhi, July 27: Google has at last introduced Street View to India. Now, people may practically experience any location or restaurant while sitting at home and seeing famous sites. In collaboration with local traffic authorities, Google Maps will now include showing the speed limit, information on road closures and disruptions, and better optimised signal lights.
In collaboration with Tech Mahindra, a top supplier of digital transformation, consultancy, and business re-engineering services and solutions, and Genesys International, a leading provider of sophisticated mapping solutions, Google has announced the introduction of its Street View experience in India.
The new Street View feature is now live on Google Maps, but it’s only being tested in Bangalore for the time being. According to Google, the function will first go live in Hyderabad and then later in Kolkata. The Street View will soon be made available in other Indian cities, including Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Vadodara, Ahmednagar, and Amritsar.
This feature is rather simple to use. To view a specific location, simply open the Google Maps app, zoom into a road in one of these target cities, and tap. Learn about the local coffee shops and cultural hubs, or explore the neighbourhood. People will be able to explore and traverse new areas of the country and the world with the aid of Street View more realistically and visually, giving them the opportunity to fully experience these locations from their phone or computer.
