New Delhi, April 25: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Monday announced that it had shut 16 Youtube channels and one Facebook account for disseminating disinformation about India’s national security, foreign relations, and public order.
The prohibited social media profiles have a combined audience of more than 68 crore people. “It was discovered that these channels were being utilised to distribute false information on social media about national security, India’s international ties, communal peace, and public order.
