Ahmedabad, March 13: The Gujarat government declared on Sunday to make the recently released film ‘The Kashmir Files’ tax-free in the state.
According to a tweet from the CMO, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took the decision to provide tax-free status to the film, which was released on March 11.
The film, written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios, recounts the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir as a result of Pakistan-backed militants’ systematic executions of members of the community.
Among the cast members are Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty, and Pallavi Joshi.
