Kolkata, June 1: The West Bengal government gave a gun salute to the mortal remains of famed Bollywood vocalist Krishnakumar Kunnath, often known as KK, on Wednesday.
The late singer’s body was kept at Rabindra Sadan for some time, and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who oversaw the ceremonies, paid floral tributes to him.

Banerjee was seen comforting KK’s wife and other members of his family who were present at the event.
An official said the 53-year-old singer’s body was carried to Rabindra Sadan after a post-mortem examination earlier in the day at the state-run SSKM Hospital.
He stated his mortal remains will be carried to the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and given to his family, who would then fly to Mumbai with the body.
