Hazaribagh, July 20: A bank manager died today when his speeding car hit an electric pole in the town in the early morning of Thursday. The car having registration JH-15D/6991 got damaged completely after hitting the pole at Mission Road under the Bada Bazar police station area. The collision was so strong that Aditya Shankar, the assistant manager of IDBI Bank, who was in the car, died on the spot. He was posted at IDBI Bank Barkagaon. In this incident, the roof of the car was blown away. The incident was reported early Thursday morning at 3 am.
Police said the manager was a resident of Mukeria village in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. Police reached the spot and took the dead body to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
Bara Bazar police station officer-in-charge Ghanshyam Kumar said that the relatives of the deceased have been informed. He said it is not known to anyone as to where the manager was going so early in the morning.
