Hazaribag, July 2: Firing on the shop of Congress block president Vikas Yadav on Saturday late night sparked fear in Chouparan making political leaders and local residents to demand the immediate arrest of the culprits. The incident took place at 12:10 night at the shop of Yadav and the police are still clueless about the attackers.
Sources said four persons on two bikes came to the shop of Yadav and opened firing all of a sudden. Before anyone could understand anything, they escaped towards Itkhori in Chatra by taking the Chouparan-Itkhori road.
As the information reached the local people, they gathered there demanding action. Chouparan police station officer-in-charge Shambhu Nand Ishwar reached there and started the probe. He collected three empty bullets which cleared that the attackers had fired three rounds there. Four live bullets were also found there. Ishwar said they have started their investigation to nab the culprits.
