Hazaribag, Oct 1: A gas tanker overturned in the Danua Ghati on GT road in Chouparan today making the district administration stop vehicular movement on this busiest highway till the arrival of the rescue team from Durgapur of Bengal. The gas tanker is of Indian oil and seeing the threat of gas leak, administrative and police officials are now on the spot ensuring stop of vehicular movement.
Sources said Danua Ghati is a mishap stretch due to its steep turn. Due to this, the tanker overturned making the administration take precautionary measures due to a similar incident took place three months ago claiming three lives.
SDO Barhi Poonam Kujur said experts of HPCL and IOCL reached on the spot. “Even rescue team from Durgapur are to reach here anytime,” she added.
Seeing the trouble of commuters, administration had diverted vehicles going to Patna and Ranchi via Padma and Itkhori of Chatra. Even another route is via Huntergunj of Chatra.
