Hazaribag, Nov 25: Lohsigna police found two girls out of the seven who escaped from a correctional home run by an NGO ‘Samarpan’ at Kallu chowk.
The Duo blamed the management people of the correctional home for forcing them to do their personal work which they said made them escape from there. Lohsigna police station officer-in-charge Arvind Kumar said statements of the girls were recorded in court under 164 of the CRPC. He said a search is on to find others.
Both the girls said after coming out of the home, they reached Indrapuri chowk. From there they reached Hazaribag lake and finally caught a vehicle to reach Ranchi. Having no money, the duo was left with no other option but to call their parents who reached there from Hazaribag. The duo went with them to their homes.
The police knew about it and produced it in court with their statements recorded. Court ordered them to take them back to the correctional home. But the parents requested the court not to do so saying that sending them back to the correctional home will again result in their exploitation.
However, the court ordered them to take the girls home after filling the bond.
The superintendent of this correctional home, Poonam Sahu refuted all charges of the duo girls. This centre is to save girls from trafficking and make them self dependent and what they are saying is totally wrong, she said.
