Hazaribag, Nov 30: The Muffasil and Korra police of the district nabbed two shooters of the notorious Aman Sahu gang on the directive of SP Manoj Ratan Chauthe after a tip-off about their presence in the Canary hill area.
The team recovered a pistol, 11 live bullets, 1 magazine, Rs 57,300 cash, 1 bike and three mobile phones from their possession.
Sources said the SP received a tip-off about the duo in town to terrorise a businessman to take a hefty amount from him as a levy. A team was formed comprising the officer-in-charge of Muffasil, Bajrang Mahto and his Korra police station counterpart Uttam Tiwary. The team searched the area and found a duo coming on a bike on Canary road. The duo was identified as Nitish Shil alias Major Singh of Raigarh in Chhatisgarh and Abhinav Tiwary alias Sushant Tiwary of Palamu.
