Hazaribag, Nov 26: The dead body of six-year-old Pari Kumari was found in a well in Bardag village of Barhi making the police take up a speedy investigation to crack the mystery behind her death. The girl’s mother told to police that two youths tried to abduct her daughter failing which threw her into a well.

Notably, Pari was the daughter of Prakash Singh and went to attend nature’s call with her mother Puja Devi at around 6:30 in the evening on Friday when this incident took place.

Puja said two youths suddenly came and picked Pari up and tried to escape from there on a bike. She said as she started shouting, duo threw her daughter into a well nearby and escaped. The Incident took place only 100 meters away from Puja’s house.

After hearing her scream, villagers gathered on the spot and fished out Pari from the well. They took her to Barhi subdivisional hospital but were declared brought dead by doctors.

Barhi police led by officer-in-charge Lalit Kumar reached the spot and started the probe. He said the police has started its investigation keeping in mind all angles. He said they will wait for the postmortem report to know the exact reason behind Pari’s death. Pari’s death has sparked shockwaves in the village with her parents seen in a state of shock.

Before this incident, one mishappening took place with Pari’s mother on Friday only which surprised all. She went to withdraw Rs 34,000 from the bank but while returning home, Rs.22,000 went missing. Puja searched for the money and returned back to the bank but it was yet not clear how the money went missing.
