Ramgarh, Aug 11: The Hazaribagh administration on Wednesday sent cards made by school children to the Army Head Quarters of Rajasthan, Udhampur, Kashmir, Bangalore, Chennai and Delhi under a campaign ‘School Se Sarhad Tak’.
This initiative has been appreciated by the State Government and other districts of the state have also been ordered to adopt such activities and innovation.
Hazaribagh Deputy Commissioner Nancy Sahay first carried out this initiative keeping in mind the participation of the children, with the idea of awakening the feeling of patriotism among them.
While sharing the success of this program with the media, the DC said, “With this thinking of the administration, the children played their part more than expected by working step by step, which is commendable.”
She said that the cards made by the little children are being sent to various Army Head Quarters in the country. These cards will be in the hands of the soldiers on 15th August.
On this occasion, the tricolour flags made by the women of Sakhi Mandal were handed over to the DC under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. These tricolours are available for sale in the local markets.
HK Pathak, Deputy Commandant of BSF, on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav said that on August 12, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, a cultural program immersed in the spirit of patriotism will be organized by the soldiers of Meru Camp at Nagar Bhawan. Along with this, a captivating performance by BSF Brass Band and Jazz Band will be given.
