Ramgarh, May 23: The ‘Prison Smart Course for Inmates’ was launched for the prisoners lodged at the Jai Prakash Narayan Central Jail, Hazaribagh.
Under this course, work is done on bringing positive changes in the prisoners so that their attitude towards life changes and when they come out and can join the mainstream society.
Emotional control in prisoners and mental improvement is done through yoga, pranayama, yoga nidra and Sudarshan Kriya. Control of anger, mutual love and cooperation, interest in creative work, freedom from mental stress etc. are the specialities of this workshop.
Inaugurating the camp, Jail Superintendent Kumar Chandrashekhar appreciated such programs on the jail premises. He said,” There is a need to continue such programs. This has been organized so that the prisoners can live a good life with the society.”
Bablu Gope said that such events improve the health of the prisoners, get rid of complaints of sleeplessness, and mental stress and after leaving from here the prisoners can lead a good life with the society and with themselves.
The Art of Living’s yoga instructors Tarakeswar Soni, Pramod Kumar Sinha and volunteer Ayush Raj are providing their services in organizing the workshop.
