Ranchi, Sept.29: A court of judicial magistrate in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand has issued summons to three police officials, a state administrative official and a general manager of NTPC while taking cognisance in the matter of changing content of an FIR registered on May 17, 2016 alleging villagers of staging demonstration outside the NTPC office and committing violence.

The three police officials include former Barkagaon inspector Akhilesh Kumar Singh, two former officers-in-charge of Barkagaon police station, Ram Dayal Munda and Akil Ahmed. The state administrative officer is the then executive magistrate of Hazaribagh district Kumud Kumar Jha. The general manager of NTPC is T Gopal Krishna.

Singh has retired from police service. Munda is presently inspector of Madhupur police station. Jha is at present block development officer in Garhwa. Ahmed is presently posted as inspector at special branch headquarters. NTPC GM Krishna, who was posted at Pakri Barwadih coal project has retired from this service.

A resident of Barkagaon, Shani Kant alias Mantu Soni, who had brought the irregularities into the knowledge of the court after the action of police officials put him under trouble, informed this to Lagatar24.com sharing the cognisance order delivered from the court of judicial magistrate Shivani Sharma.

“The order was given on September 15. I got the copy of the order today,” Soni said, adding the court had directed them to remain present on November 20.

Mantu’s complaint mentioned that Ramdayal Munda, the then officer-in-charge of Barkagaon police station, changed the application given by the then Executive Magistrate Kumud Kumar Jha in the police station and later got it signed by Jha. Mantu through his complaint informed the court that the police officials named his name as an accused with several others.

Mantu said first a hand written FIR was submitted by executive magistrate Jha. Later the officer in-charge changed the FIR and got it typed with the help of a constable clerk. The officer-in-charge then took signature from Jha in the typed copy of the changed FIR. Ahmed, Singh and Krishna helped prove the FIR true
