Ramgarh, Aug 17: An Income Tax team carried out a search operation in the houses and establishments of six businessmen simultaneously in Hazaribagh district on Tuesday which continued till late evening.
The locations included the residence of Rajendra Gupta (operator of multiplex Indralok located on the main road of the city), the residence of Suresh Bhandara’s Bhandara Park at Devangana Chowk, Arafat Hasan, a manager of a school in Chauparan, a coal trader of Vishnugarh and Izhar Ansari of Millat Colony of Pelawal.
Recovery of a large amount of money was reported from the residence of Rajendra Gupta. However, the I-T team refused to make the information public.
According to the information, the team members were staying in Hazaribagh for the last three days. The survey work started on the first day on Tuesday. Further, search operations will be conducted for three more days.
