Hazaribagh police arrest three Delhi-bound passengers with 56 kg ganja

Ramgarh, July 16: Three Delhi-bound passengers were caught with 56 kg of ganja and handed over to the Bada Bazar police station Hazaribagh on Friday night.

The arrested drug smugglers are residents of Odisha and West Bengal. They were going to Delhi to sell ganja after buying it from Odisha.

The police have also recovered a huge amount of money from the bags of the smugglers.

According to information, two passengers reached Hazaribagh Private Bus Stand from Ranchi at the night and boarded the bus going to Delhi. The bus leaves for Delhi at 11.30 pm.

Before the bus leaves, all the boarding passengers have to pass through CCTV cameras. In this sequence, the goods kept in the bag are screened.

During the screening, the authorities found the ganja in the drug dealers’ bags and they were caught. The people at the bus stop informed the local police after which they arrived and arrested the three persons. An FIR will be filed against the arrested. Police have not disclosed the names of the arrested smugglers.
