Ramgarh, Sept 17: A horrific road accident took place on Sevane river bridge under Tatijharia block of Hazaribagh district on Saturday. A Shiv Shakti Travel air-conditioned bus, which was going from Giridih to Ranchi fell off the bridge.
As per sources, A total of seven people have died while more than two dozen people have been injured.
Among the dead, four are female and 3 are male passengers. The accident was so horrific that passengers had to remove the roof of the bus with a gas cutter to remove the bodies.
According to the information, the bus was going from Giridih Gurdwara to Ranchi Gurdwara carrying around 50 passengers as it lost control and fell from the bridge in order to save a bike rider.
Notably, all the passengers were going to attend the Ardas to be held at Ranchi Gurdwara. Relief and rescue work was being carried out with the help of local people and police administration regarding the incident.
All the injured passengers have been sent by ambulance to Sheikh Bhikhari Medical College Hospital. The seriously injured passengers have been sent to some private hospitals in Hazaribagh and RIMS in Ranchi.
