Ramgarh, May 11: Hazaribagh District Chess Association is set to organize the All India FIDE Rating Open Chess Competition from June 22 to June 26. It will be held in the Multipurpose Examination Hall located on the Vinoba Bhave University campus.
Organizer cum President of Hazaribagh District Chess Association and retired DSP Vijay Kumar Singh said,” This competition will be held at the state level. For the first time, this competition is being organized on such a large scale.”
“A total prize of Rs 2.5 lakh has been fixed for the winners. The first prize winner will be given an amount of Rs 50,000. Noted players from all over India including International Master and Grand Master have shown their interest in participating in this competition. Not only Hazaribagh and adjoining districts but players from all over Jharkhand will display their talent by participating in this competition,” he added.
He said that by taking forward the game of chess, Hazaribagh would have a name in the whole country as well as abroad.
The tournament will be held from 10 am onwards. About 150 participants are expected to participate in this competition. An entry fee of Rs 1,250 has been kept for participating in this tournament.
The organizing board of the competition includes Secretary AJCE Neeraj Kumar Mishra, President HDCA Vijay Kumar Singh, Secretary CDCA Anil Kumar Singh, Ranjan Kumar Sah, Manjari Kumari, and Mohit Kumar, Chief Arbiter Deepak Kumar, and Deputy Chief Arbiter Prabhat Ranjan Kumar.
Rules of the tournament:
- The tournament will be played for nine rounds according to the Swiss system.
- There will be 90 minutes of playtime.
- The default time will be 30 minutes.
- Players will be able to draw in this minute.
- Electronic devices of any kind, including a watch, will not be allowed in this tournament.
- In any dispute, 1000 will have to be protested in front of the Chief Arbiter.
