Hazaribagh, Dec 23: A woman named Renu Devi, wife of late Sarju Ravidas, has written a letter to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and the DC Hazaribagh complaining about bungling in allotting a house under Indira Awas Yojana to her.
Renu Devi is a resident of Dhengura village under Katkamdag police station of Hazaribagh district.
According to her complaint, the victim has accused that the Mukhiya and the Panchayat members manipulated her husband and took out the allotted money for Indira Awas. Renu Devi’s husband was allotted the Indira Awas in 2011 census. In the year 2020-21 he fell ill after which Dhengura Mukhiya Lalita Devi along with Panchayat Sevak Prabhu Narayan Singh and Ward member Birju Ravidas took his signature in forged paper work and took out the allotted money for the Indira Awas.
On finding out about the scam, Renu Devi filed a complaint with the Katkamdag BDO.
Renu Devi is currently forced to live with her three children in her old damaged house. She works as a labourer and maid to earn a living.
She has asked the CM and other authorities for stern action against the accused and seeks justice in the matter.
