Hazaribagh zone bags runner-up title in DAV National Games and Sports

Hazaribag, Nov 9: DAV Hazaribagh Zone Cluster II maintaining its proud tradition, again performed well and won the title of zonal runner-up in various sports competitions organised in Dhanbad under the aegis of DAV National Games and Sports.

In this competition, students from all the schools located in Jharkhand participated in which the performance of DAV Hazaribagh was paramount based on marks scored in various events.

The Hazaribagh team achieved the following titles:

  • Runner up in girls’ Judo
  • Boys’ Table tennis runner up
  • Runner up in boys’ basketball and winners in girls’ category
  • Winners in boys’ and girls’ handball
  • Runners up in boys’ chess
  • Winner in Girls’ cricket
  • Runner-up in boys’ football

It may be noted here that in the zonal level competition in Jharkhand, it is organised among the schools of the DAV group divided into four clusters.

Principal of the school, Ashok Kumar said it is a matter of pride that the DAV Hazaribagh zone was given this title based on the marks scored by the teams. “It is noteworthy that DAV Hazaribagh has also become the winner of the cluster level for the 21st time in a row,” he added.

Congratulating the winners and runners-up students on this achievement, Kumar wished for continuing such performance at the national level as well. He also congratulated the parents and teachers of this school who groomed them for different events.

Chairman JK Kapoor, director JP Shoor, Dr Urmila Singh ARO Jharkhand Zone D,  Manoj Mishra Manager, Dinesh Khandelwal Vice Chairman and all the members of the Local Management Committee have congratulated the winning teams on this stupendous success.
