Hazaribag, June 14: Tears rolled down the cheeks of Rashid Hussain and his mother as the NEET result was announced. This was a dream come true for Rashid and his family as he lost his father in the year 2020 due to Covid.
Rashid said that happiness returns after three years in his family after the death of his father but in the same breath, he promised to save the life of every patient once he becomes a doctor in the coming years giving free treatment to the needy.
Rashid, a resident of Jaiprakash Marg has achieved success in NEET through struggle. His father Yusuf Ansari was a government teacher. Rashid scored 652 marks out of 720 in the NEET exam and got an All India Rank of 6474. He says that he has not forgotten that black day of his life of the year 2020 when his teacher father Yusuf Ansari lost his life from Covid. Being the eldest son, it became his responsibility to take care of the whole family after the untimely death of his father.
Recalling his father, he said Abbu had sent him to Kota for medical preparation with great interest. Now the time has come to fulfil his dream. There is a resolution in my mind that by becoming a doctor, I will try to save the life of every patient. There is a firm determination in the mind that the needy will be treated free of cost.
Rashid’s mother Gulshan Ara said that she has two sons and the younger one is preparing for engineering. After the death of her husband, she did not give up and kept reminding both sons that the flame of education given by her husband should keep burning. Today the son’s success has reduced the sorrow of my husband’s death with tears of joy, she added.
Getting this news, the district president of Jharkhand Primary Teachers Association Mohammad Atikujjama, executive president Manoj Kumar, general secretary Kumar Satpal and media in-charge Rajeev Jha have congratulated Rashid for his success. They said that his success in NEET is a true tribute to his late father. They even assured that every member of the teachers’ association is with Rashid and his entire family.
Union’s executive president Manoj Kumar said that Rashid’s father was a teacher of Middle School Urdu in Ichak block. He was a man of calm, modesty and sociable behaviour. He held the post of deputy secretary in the association for a long time, he said.
