Jamshedpur, Aug 12: Health minister and local Congress legislator Banna Gupta will unfurl the national flag during the Independence Day celebration on August 15 at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
The district-level main Independence Day function will take place at 9:05 am.
Dhalbhum SDO Piyush Sinha reviewed the preparedness and logistics at the venue of the main function today.
There would be No-Entry restriction for heavy vehicles on August 15 (Tuesday) from morning to night (6 am to 10 pm).
Policemen would be deployed in and around the city and at all vital installations as part of the beefed-up security measures.
Vigil on National Highway-33 would also be intensified.
A special checking drive at the bordering areas of the city would also commence from tomorrow.
A close vigil would be kept at strategic locations including markets, bus stands and hotels.
Hotels have been asked to report to the nearest police station on finding any suspicious person.
