At the event Chief Minister Sukhu and his deputy Mukesh Agnihotri were present.

Sukhu stated on Saturday that the state administration will begin implementing the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in the state shortly after the first cabinet meeting and that a list of 10 people has been sent to the party’s high command.

While under the OPS, the pension for central and state government employees was set at 50% of the most recent basic salary, under the New Pension Scheme, the employee will contribute 10% of the basic pay and dearness allowance.

If elected to power, Congress had pledged to implement the Old Pension Scheme in its programme for the Assembly elections on November 12.
