New Delhi, June 27: The famous Men’s Hockey World Cup will be held in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar from January 13, 2023. The biggest event on the hockey calendar will feature 16 of the finest teams competing for titles.

Odisha is the only state to have hosted back-to-back FIH Hockey Men’s World Cups, and it is doing it under the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the second time.

The previous World Cup was held at the legendary Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar, which was praised for its outstanding facilities and Hockey India’s flawless organisation of the event as hosts. This time, the coveted event will also be held in Rourkela, the centre of Odisha’s hockey belt, a region renowned for its hockey prowess and having produced many international hockey players.

The people of the area are excitedly anticipating seeing the finest players in the world in action during the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar and Rourkela since the largest hockey stadium in the nation is being built in the steel city of Rourkela.
