Chakradharpur: In the early hours of Tuesday, a Howrah-Mumbai Express train derailed near Jharkhand’s Chakradharpur division, resulting in minor injuries to at least six passengers. The derailment occurred around 3:43 am between Rajkharswan West Outer and Barabamboo.
According to railway officials, 14 coaches were derailed following the incident. Initial reports suggest that the derailment was triggered when a goods train coming from the opposite direction derailed and impacted the passenger train.
All injured passengers received immediate first aid. The Railways has classified the incident as minor, though further investigations are ongoing.
