Dhanbad, Aug 26: Hyderabad police have arrested Cybercriminals, Sitaram Mandal and Majid Ansari, from Jamtara district in connection with cheating Rs 9 lakhs from a retired officer of Telangana.
Jamtara cyber deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Majrul Hoda confirmed that Hyderabad police have arrested Sitaram Mandal from Sinderjori village and Majid Ansari from Ringochingo village under Karmatand police station for cheating Rs 9 lakh from P Rayudu, a retired government officer.
Sitaram Mandal is called the mastermind of cybercrime in Jamtara district. He has been in cybercrime for the last seven years and had been in jail four times for cheating people across the country. He has reportedly trained 400 youth of the state.
A team of Hyderabad police under Inspector Prasant Kumar along with Jamtara cyber police station officers DSP Majrul Hoda and officer-in-charge Harendra Kumar arrested Sitaram Mandal from Sinderjori village and Majid Ansari from Ringochingo village under Karmatand police station of the district.
Hyderabad police station Inspector Prasant Kumar told media persons that he would take both the accused on transit remand from the court in Jamtara to take them away to Hyderabad today. “ Total seven cyber cheating cases are lodged against Sitaram Mandal in different police stations of Telangana,” he said.
