New Delhi, Feb 17: The Income Tax Investigation Wing has carried out raids at premises of former MD NSE Chitra Ramakrishna. SEBI is probing her role into the alleged violations in securities contract rules related to appointment of Anand Subramanian as group operating officer and adviser to the managing director.

Last week, Ramakrishna stated that she had been seeking direction from a Himalayan yogi for the past 20 years, and that as a spiritual force, their spiritual powers do not require them to have any physical coordinates and materialise at will.

According to a SEBI ruling, Ramakrishna stated that she has sought assistance from the unknown person on a variety of personal and professional matters for the past 20 years, and that she holds the unknown person in high respect and is greatly affected by the unknown person.

Notably, Ramkrishna was fired from the NSE in 2016 for her involvement in the co-location and algo trading scams, as well as for abusing her position as COO.
