Ranchi: The mortal remains of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer Manish Ranjan, who lost his life in the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, arrived at Ranchi airport on Thursday morning. From there, his family took the body to Jhalda in West Bengal, their native place.

The grieving family demanded stern action from the central government against the perpetrators of the attack, urging the strongest possible response to terrorism.

Manish Ranjan was killed on Tuesday during a brutal terrorist attack at a tourist site in Pahalgam, where he was vacationing with his wife Jaya Mishra, 12-year-old son, and 8-year-old daughter. Ranjan, who was posted as a Section Officer in the IB in Hyderabad, was enjoying a family holiday when tragedy struck.

His sudden demise has left the security community and his family in deep shock. The attack, part of a larger wave of violence in the region, has reignited nationwide calls for stronger counter-terror measures.
