New Delhi, June 15: Ishan Kishan jumped to 68 places into the top-10 of the ICC T20I batters rankings on Wednesday. Ishan is ranked No. 7 in the world and the only Indian in the top ten.

In India’s T20I series versus South Africa, Ishan Kishan is the leading run scorer. In three matches, he has scored 164 runs, including two half-centuries.

Ishan Kishan had previously starred in a T20I against Sri Lanka, scoring a blistering 89. Mumbai Indians re-signed Ishan Kishan for Rs 15.25 crore, but his form dipped after scoring back-to-back half-centuries in the first two games.

Meanwhile, Pakistan captain Babar Azam remained No. 1 in the ICC T20I batting rankings, while his opening partner Mohammad Rizwan moved up to No. 2 and replaced South Africa’s Aiden Markram.

Aaron Finch, Australia’s limited-overs skipper, climbed one spot to No. 5 in the rankings. Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer have both fallen a spot to 16th and 17th, respectively, while Virat Kohli has dropped two spots to 21st.

Bhuvneshwar has moved seven places to 11th rank among bowlers, while leg-spinner Chahal has climbed four places to 26th place.

Josh Hazlewood of Australia has reclaimed the top spot among T20 bowlers, while Maheesh Theekshana of Sri Lanka has risen 16 places to seventh.

Jasprit Bumrah has moved up to third in the Test rankings, behind compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin, who has remained at number two. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin continue to occupy the top two spots in the all rounders’ list.
