IED Blast During Anti-Naxal Operation, CRPF 134 Battalion Jawan Injured

Manoharpur: A jawan of CRPF 134 Battalion was injured in an IED blast during a search operation in the Keblang police station area of Rourkela district, Odisha. The injured jawan has been identified as Satyawan Kumar Singh, who has been admitted to Apollo Hospital in Rourkela for treatment. The incident was confirmed by West Singhbhum SP Rakesh Ranjan.

IED Triggered During Joint Operation

According to information received, a joint anti-Naxal operation was being conducted by CRPF and district police forces in the dense forest areas bordering Jharkhand and Odisha. During the search, Satyawan Kumar Singh accidentally stepped on an IED planted by Naxals in the jungle. He sustained serious injuries in the explosion and was immediately shifted to Apollo Hospital in Rourkela for treatment.
