Dhanbad, July 22: IIT Indian School of Mines (ISM) Dhanbad has launched ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ awareness campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate 75 years of India’s independence.
Prof Ranji Singh, dean (media and branding) IIT ISM said that under the Mahotsav programme all faculty members, students, officers and staff of the institute would hoist Tiranga in their houses from August 13 to 15 to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign a resounding success in the region.
“Faculty members, students, officers and staff of the institution would not only hoist Tiranga on their house but also launch a campaign in the region to encourage people to hoist national of India homes”, said Prof Rajni Singh.
The dean of media and branding said the idea behind the campaign among people is to instill a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of citizens and reminiscence the contribution of those who tirelessly worked for nation-building.
The students of the IIT ISM are upbeat about the ambitious programme. They said the management of the institution has directed them to hoist Tiranga on particular days. “We are waiting for the detailed programme but frantically waiting to celebrate Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav in such a way,” said a student.
