Illegal construction of JAP-9 jawan murder case suspect razed down in Sahibganj, accused still at large

Ranchi, June 24: Sahibganj district administration on Friday bulldozed the illegal construction made by Ramji Yadav who is a named accused of the murder of JAP-9 jawan Guddu Ojha.

The officer in-charge of Town Police station Dharmpal confirmed the demolition and said that these were illegally constructed structures hence removed by the order of the administration. The illegal construction is situated at Jirwapari locality. “Raids are going on to arrest accused persons who shot dead the jawan,” said the officer.

Gyan Ojha, the younger brother of the deceased alleged that his brother was killed by Lalbabu Yadav, Amit Yadav and others. He said that assailants also fired two bullets at him but he escaped unhurt whereas his brother suffered bullet injuries and died.

Unidentified miscreants shot dead Guddu Ojha, near Rangoli restaurant located near the eastern gate of Sahibganj on Thursday late night. The jawan was returning to his home in the Old Sahibganj area under the Town Police Station after duty.

A police official said the way the jawan was targeted suggests that miscreants were aware of his movement and waiting to target him. After opening the fire, the miscreants escaped.

Ojha was declared brought dead at the hospital where he was taken for treatment by his relatives and friends who rushed to his rescue as soon as they came to know about the incident.  On receiving the news of the jawan’s death, they got angry and ransacked the hospital.
