Jamshedpur, March 25: Most districts across Jharkhand would witness clear sky and dry weather today (Saturday) while light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is likely to take place tomorrow (Sunday) at a few places over western, southern and adjoining central parts of Jharkhand, according to a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre this morning.
Weathermen said no significant synoptic system exists over the state and that the Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation today lying over Afghanistan is between 3.1 Km and 7.6 Km above the mean sea level.
Tomorrow, the thunderstorm would be accompanied by lightning and strong surface wind gusting upto 30-40 kmph at isolated places over the west, south and adjoining central parts of the state.
Thunderstorms and lightning will also likely occur at isolated places over eastern and adjoining central parts of the state on Monday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24- hours.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.2°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 15.7°C was recorded at Simdega.
