Jamshedpur, Oct 6: The incessant rain which most parts of Jharkhand have been witnessing for the last few days due to the impact of low pressure has stopped, paving the way for bright weather.
Weathermen at IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre said bright weather is expected to prevail in Jharkhand from today with possibilities of light rain in some places.
Meanwhile, the low-pressure area over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal and the neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above mean sea levels is gradually becoming weak.
A trough runs from the cyclonic circulation associated with the low-pressure area over western parts of Gangetic West Bengal and neighbourhood to East Uttar Pradesh across Jharkhand and extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain was observed at most places; while heavy rain was also recorded at isolated places over the state during the past 24 hours.
Weathermen predicted rise in maximum temperature by 3-4 °C in the next 24 hours over southern parts of the state.
