Jamshedpur, May 6: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of abrupt rise in maximum temperature across Jharkhand in the next 72 hours.
According to the forecast, the day’s reading is expected to rise by three to four degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours.
Satellite pictures indicated a trough running roughly along Long. 86°E to the north of Lat. 21°N at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
Light to moderate rain occurred at few places over the state during last 24 hours.
The highest rainfall recorded was 20 mm at Barkagaon and Hazaribagh (Hazaribagh).
The highest maximum temperature of 37.2°C was recorded at Godda while the lowest minimum temperature of 21.1°C was recorded at Ranchi.
Mainly clear sky and dry weather would prevail in Jharkhand in next three days, added weathermen.
