Jamshedpur, March 27 : Several places in southern Jharkhand is expected to experience thunderstorm and rain accompanied by lightning today (Monday), said a forecast issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre this morning.
The forecast suggested light to moderate rain or thunderstorm at isolated places particularly over south-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state.
Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is also expected at isolated places over south-eastern and adjoining central parts of the state tomorrow (Tuesday, March 28).
No significant synoptic system exists over the state today.
The trough/wind discontinuity from Bihar to south interior Karnataka was today running from southeast Uttar Pradesh to interior Tamil Nadu across Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and interior Karnataka at 0.9 Km above the mean sea level.
Light rain with thunderstorm occurred at few places over the state during the past 24- hours. The highest rainfall recorded was 5.2 mm at Panchet-DVC (Dhanbad).
The highest maximum temperature of 37°C was recorded at Jamshedpur and Daltonganj while the lowest minimum
temperature of 18.9°C was recorded at Simdega .
Weathermen said there will be no major changes in maximum temperature during next three days.
