Jamshedpur, May 29: Most parts of Jharkhand is expected to witness dry weather today, stated a Meteorological bulletin issued by IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre.
Weathermen said partly cloudy sky is expected to prevail at a few places but weather would be clear and dry.
No alerts have been issued. The Meteorological department ruled out rainfall activity today.
But, a warning of thunderstorm and lightning accompanied by rain was issued for Tuesday and Wednesday in north- eastern, central and southern parts of the state.
Satellite pictures suggested that the east-west trough was today running from the cyclonic circulation over southwest Rajasthan to northeast Madhya Pradesh across east Rajasthan at 0.9 Km above mean sea level.
The trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level was today running roughly along Long. 85°E to the north of Lat. 18°N.
Meteorological statistics revealed that not a single IMD observatory reported rain during the past 24- hours.
The maximum temperature in various districts hovered between 36 and 40 degree Celsius.
