Nagpur: In his Dussehra speech on Saturday, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat highlighted India’s growing strength and global respect while cautioning against sinister conspiracies both inside and outside the country. Addressing the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s annual Vijayadasahmi rally in Nagpur, he referred to concerns regarding neighbouring Bangladesh, the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, and the controversial RG Kar Medical College rape-murder case in West Bengal.
India’s Global Standing
“Everyone feels Bharat has become stronger and more respected in the world with enhanced credibility in the last few years,” Mr. Bhagwat said. He credited the nation’s growing power and stature to its strengthened national character, while also acknowledging the challenges and conspiracies that threaten to destabilize India.
Conspiracies in Bangladesh
Mr. Bhagwat expressed concern over a growing narrative in Bangladesh that portrays India as a threat, with some calling for a union with Pakistan for protection. He highlighted the existence of fundamentalist elements in Bangladesh and urged Hindus to unite in self-defense. “Being unorganised and weak is like inviting atrocities by the wicked,” he stated.
Ongoing Global Conflicts
The RSS chief also commented on the escalating Hamas-Israel war, expressing concerns about its potential to spread further. He stressed the importance of global peace and stability.
‘Deep State’ and Warnings Against Cultural Marxism
Mr. Bhagwat took aim at ‘deep state’, ‘wokeism’, and ‘cultural Marxism’, labeling them as threats to cultural traditions and societal harmony. He warned that these forces are undermining the nation by promoting selfish interests over national integrity and mutual harmony.
RG Kar Rape-Murder Incident
Addressing the RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case, Mr. Bhagwat condemned the efforts to protect criminals involved in the crime, calling it a symptom of a dangerous nexus between politics, crime, and toxic culture that is damaging society.
