Income Tax Department Conducts Outreach Programme for Charitable Institutions in Ramgarh

Ramgarh: The Income Tax Department successfully organized an outreach programme in Ramgarh under the guidance of Additional CIT (E), Range-2, Ranchi, Shri R.K. Madhukar, aimed at educating chartered accountants (CAs), advocates, and trustees/representatives of various charitable trusts from Ramgarh and Hazaribagh about crucial tax compliance matters.

Key Highlights of the Programme

The session focused on important tax provisions applicable to charitable institutions, covering:

✔️ Mandatory compliance requirements, prescribed forms, and due dates for filing.

✔️ Recent amendments in tax regulations affecting trusts and non-profit organizations.

✔️ Significant judicial decisions impacting the governance and taxation of charitable institutions.

✔️ Best practices for maintaining transparency in financial records and ensuring smooth compliance.

Emphasis on Clearing Outstanding Tax Demands

During the discussion, officials urged participants to resolve long-pending outstanding tax demands to avoid recovery proceedings. The session also highlighted the importance of timely tax filing and financial transparency to maintain their eligibility for tax exemptions.

Interactive Session and Positive Feedback

A PowerPoint presentation was used to explain complex tax provisions in a simplified manner, making the session highly engaging. Participants actively raised queries related to tax exemptions, compliance issues, and procedural changes, which were thoroughly addressed by the officials.

The attendees expressed their appreciation for the initiative, acknowledging that such sessions help them stay updated with regulatory changes and avoid compliance-related pitfalls.
