Ind vs Aus: Virat Kohli hits 28th Test century as India cross 400

New Delhi, March 12: Virat Kohli scored his much anticipated 28th Test tonne as India passed the 400-run milestone against Australia on Day 4 of the fourth Test. Axar Patel joined Kohli on the pitch after KS Bharat was dismissed on 44.

When India began the day on 289/3, Todd Murphy (2/64) removed Ravindra Jadeja, they lost their first wicket of the day (28). Earlier, India’s first innings reply was strong with Shubman Gill’s brilliant century. India was 289-3 at stumps, 191 runs behind Australia’s 480-run total.

With his 128 his second Test century and first in India Gill stood out as he formed important partnerships, including a 113-run partnership for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara, who scored 42.
