New Delhi, July 12: All eyes are on Virat Kohli to see if he will be able to play in the first ODI at the Kennington Oval in London on Tuesday as India and England turn their attention to the 50-over game.
During the third T20 International between the two teams on Sunday, Kohli reportedly strained his groyne, although there has been no official announcement declaring him ineligible for the game. Joe Root will also play in his first ODI match in roughly a year during this game. The England team now includes Ben Stokes and Jonny Bairstow after they were absent for India’s 2-1 victory in the T20I series. In the meantime, India will search for the ideal middle-order combo with Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan set to resume their partnership, which has been prolific for them especially in this format.
