New Delhi, Nov 16: In a pre-recorded speech at the Bengaluru Tech summit on Wednesday, Prime Minister Modi announced that India has risen to the 40th spot in the world innovation index this year.

“In 2015, we were at 81st spot. The number of unicorn startups in India has doubled. We are now the third largest in the world. This is due to India’s talent pool,” said PM Modi.

The three-day Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022, Asia’s largest technology event, had its 25th edition virtually opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (BTS 2022).

“Your investments and our innovation can do wonders. Your trust and our tech talent can make things happen. I invite you all to work with us as we lead the world in solving its problems,” said PM Modi at Bengaluru Tech Summit.
