New Delhi, Jan 31: India’s daily Covid curve improved a little with 2,09,918 cases recorded, down 10% from the previous day’s 2.34 lakh instances, bringing the total infection tally to 4.13 crore.
The number of active cases has risen to 18,31,268, accounting for 4.43 percent of all cases.
The daily positivity rate has increased from 14.5 percent to 15.77 percent, while the weekly positivity rate has remained unchanged at 15.75 percent.
According to the Health Ministry, 959 persons died of Covid in the last 24 hours, a larger number than in previous days, as Kerala added 374 fatalities to its backlog.
So far, 166.03 crore vaccine doses have been provided in the ongoing Covid immunisation push across the country. Over 75% of the adult population in the country has now been properly vaccinated against Covid-19.
