New Delhi, Feb 12: India logged 50,407 new Covid cases, down 13% from yesterday in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate fell to 3.48 percent. The weekly positivity rate in India is 5.07 percent.
The number of active cases in India is presently 6,10,443. Active cases account for 1.43 percent of all Covid infections in the country. Cases are declining in most Indian states after a spike in infections in January, fueled by the novel Covid variant Omicron.
In the previous 24 hours, India has reported 804 deaths. In Kerala, there was a backlog of 251 deaths.
The current recovery rate is 97.37 percent. In the last 24 hours, there have been 1,36,962 recoveries.
